How are my results calculated?

Statutory Maternity Pay is paid for up to 39 weeks. You get: 90% of your average weekly earnings (before tax) for the first 6 weeks. £ or 90% of your average weekly earnings (whichever is lower) for the next 33 weeks.

The rest is made up of any additional contributions from your employer.

If you are solely self employed you are entitled to Maternity Allowance which is £ or 90% of your average weekly earnings (whichever is lower) for 39 weeks.

You can take up to 52 weeks off for maternity leave but weeks 40 - 52 are unpaid (unless your employer tops it up).
